Meet the goalkeeping coach of «Динамо-Ташкент», Alexander Mikhailovich Semyonov

At the Lev Yashin football club «Динамо» («Динамо-Ташкент»), goalkeeping coach Alexander Mikhailovich Semyonov works with young goalkeepers. The goalkeeper is a special position on the pitch, requiring not only polished technique and quick reactions, but also character, high concentration and self-confidence. It is precisely the development of these qualities that receives the key attention in training, and the main goal of the work is to help every goalkeeper become stronger with each session.

Alexander Mikhailovich has extensive sporting and coaching experience. He came from Belarus, where he played for «Динамо Минск» and, as part of that team, became a world champion in France in 1972. After the championship he moved to Uzbekistan, where he played for ten professional teams. His sporting biography includes a victory in the «Пахтакор» Memorial Cup with «Целинник» (Turtkul), a national cup final with «Янгиер», first place with «Динамо Ургенч» and promotion to the top league in 2016, as well as the title of the best goalkeeper of the USSR with the team «Касансаец» from the city of Kosonsoy in the Namangan region.

For 20 years Alexander Mikhailovich worked as a children's goalkeeping coach at the «Бунёдкор» academy. He currently coaches at «Динамо-Ташкент» and invites everyone who strives to learn the art of goalkeeping to join the club's sessions.
