Trivia (3)

According to one of the directors and screenwriters, Hanuel Mercado, the film was made in memory of his father, who died of pancreatic cancer. His father also contributed to writing the screenplay.
The film’s visuals imitate the style of Studio Ghibli’s works, in which a touch of romance was deliberately added to natural landscapes. The creators used wide-angle lenses in deeply emotional scenes to emphasize the importance of moments of intimacy between the characters.
Dante Basco was originally expected to voice one of the main characters, but he was unable to participate in the project’s voice recording. The role ultimately went to Dave Franco, who deliberately imitated Basco’s voice.
