In 1943, De Gaulle is no longer a lone exile, but France may be liberated without being allowed to shape its own future. As General Leclerc leads the Free French forces through North Africa, Jean Moulin, under the name “Rex,” brings together the scattered Resistance movements. Amid battles, betrayals and diplomatic clashes, De Gaulle enters a political duel with Henri Giraud and the Allies, defending France’s right to speak in its own voice.
