History of Samarkand City Afrosiab Museum

The museum presents the history and material culture of ancient Afrosiab, covering the period from the eighth century to the beginning of the thirteenth century.

Its exhibits include archaeological finds and the world-famous Afrosiab frescoes. The two-storey museum has eleven exhibition halls, and its collection holds around two and a half thousand objects.
